Avery gets Stitches

We went with one of my friends and her kids to a different beach, than one we are used to going to. We had been enjoying the beach for a couple of hours, when Avery went in, this time without her board. A big wave flipped her and she bumped her chin on a rock at the bottom. I was amazed that she didn't cry, even while she was getting her stitches put in. 4 hours, and 6 stitches later, we were back home. It was an expensive beach trip, and a bit too much on the exciting side for me.

Mile's Birthday

We put the brownie and ice cream down in front of Miles, and he instantly picked up a huge piece and ate it. The girls always took a moment to warm up, but Miles was super messy in no time at all. We love our sweet, happy, and smart little guy.

Avery's Baptism

I was able to give a little spotlight of Avery at her baptism. This is what I said.......Avery loves to do her very best at everything she tries. For example, Avery came home from school one day, and I asked her if she would like to join soccer. She instantly said, "No". I thought, "Oh, she really doesn't want to play soccer." The next day she came home from school and said, "Mom, I really want to play soccer. I'm going to practice at recess with the boys every day, so I can be ready for when the season starts." And she did. Again, Avery wanted to know if Jesus was real, so all on her own, she prayed about it. She came to us and said, "I know that Jesus is real, because I got a warm fuzzy feeling when I prayed about it. I know Jesus is really there." Avery also loves to have fun, she always watches out for her family, she draws amazing pictures, plays the piano beautifully, and loves to learn about science. She has many friends that are girls, as well as boys. This pretty much sums up Avery......for her birthday she asked for a sword, but also for a purse and a My Little Pony. We are so thankful to have her in our family and so proud that she chose to be baptized!!

AVERY'S BIRTHDAY

Avery asked for hotdogs, kettle chips, and strawberries for her birthday dinner. Avery and Mikaya always seem to ask for either mac and cheese or hotdogs for their birthday dinners. I guess they have to, because they hardly ever get to have those dinners. Avery also wanted snicker doodles with blue icing. So, it made for a very interesting, but fun meal. Avery got a sword, a wetsuit for surfing, a My Little Pony, a doodle drawing book, a horse with a Barbie, and a journal for her birthday. We love you Ave!

Mikaya loses both front teeth, beach again, soccer and a lizard.....
