Halloween

We went trick-or-treating with some of our friends. Avery seemed to have more fun looking at the decorations and holding hands with her friend Danika than raking in candy. It was so nice to not have to bundle up this year! Coral went out with a bunch of friends from our ward and school, and had a blast.

80's Party

Cute couple! No really, I just kept thinking, "How did anyone end up dating in the 80's with so many bad styles out there?" This is what we came up with from what we had at home. Luckily, the sweater was in our DI bag. Curtis made a huge cel phone out of paper with a tape dispenser inside. You can hardly see it, but I had a lovely side ponytail.

AVERY or MIKAYA?

Evacuation

Early Monday morning we got the call that we needed to evacuate because of the fires coming through San Diego county. We were just talking about how nice it was to not have any tornado warnings, like we had this time last year, in Indiana. Literal wake up call, I guess! So, we packed what we needed into our van and headed towards Curtis's work. We evacuated to his boss's house until they got the call to evacuate as well. We all headed to a small beach house where four families, including us, stayed for one night. The next night we stayed at his boss's where the mandatory evacuation was lifted. On the third day we were able to go back to our home. Homes were destroyed in a neighboring ward. It could have just as easily affected our home and ward. We made the best out of a bad situation and had fun at the beach, but were definitely tired after the whole thing. Coral went on a full day service project early Saturday morning, with the youth, to help out the families affected. Although, it would be extremely hard to lose a home, it really makes you think about what is truly important. Nothing is more important than family!

Coral got Braces!!

Coral just got braces! She is excited about most everything but the pain. She is doing really well in school, having fun in Young Women's, and being a big help at home. She has started gymnastics again and loves it! She seems very happy and is fun to be around!

Sisters

Coral, Mikaya, and Avery always get excited when they see each other after a little time a part. It's easy to tell that they really love each other. It's so cute!

Work is Play

Avery works hard at playing. She is so fun to watch and no, she didn't put that whole marble run together by herself. She does rather well for her age though. We're impressed.
