Christmas 2012

We had a very Merry Christmas with a lot of Christmas Spirit this year. We had fun playing games, singing Christmas carols, planning for church Christmas lessons, eating at friends' houses, talking to family on the phone/skype, doing science projects, building marble runs, visiting Grandma Montelius, and going to Sea World. The girls also had a sisters' sleep over, and Coral and I got to do a bit of shopping. Mostly, just spending time with family and good friends, celebrating the birth of the One who makes it all possible.
Mikaya and her little snowman. Her gloves had no longer continued to be useful. They were soaked.

A Quote from Avery

Avery's prayer the other day went like this: "Please bless that we can do good so we can earn the presents we really want."

A Quote from Mikaya

Mikaya got really close to Miles' face and sweetly said, "You smile often and that's good because it rhymes with Miles."

Making Christmas Ornaments- Thanks Sandi for the ideas for them

I made some butternut squash soup about a month ago. Curtis and I liked it, but this is what I found written by Avery on my blackboard. So funny :)
Avery and Mikaya had a creative animal game going on, in which they put their animals on "ledges" on the tree boughs. These were the animal's homes. This is how I found the Christmas tree. I had to restate the Christmas tree rules, but it made me laugh because it was so cute.
