Here is a short (10 minute) video that was produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to answer questions from reporters, during the Winter 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. It discusses common myths and misconceptions about the Church. It does a really good job helping to answer a few questions our friends and family may have concerning topics such as the Christian foundation of our faith and the practice of polygamy in the early days of Church.

Mikaya's Crawling!

Sometimes Mikaya does an army crawl, and for awhile she was going backwards, but last Sunday she started really crawling. It sounds like it was on the same day that her friend Maddi, in Indiana, started crawling. The funny thing is, they are only one day apart in age.

More "Avery or Mikaya?"

I know. I know. You can tell by the dates if by nothing else who is who, but I think it is crazy to see how similar their pictures are sometimes.

We actually celebrated Christmas twice this year. We celebrated with Coral before she left to visit her dad. We opened pajamas, sang a bazillion Christmas songs, while Curtis and I played the guitar. We played games and read the Christmas story in the bible. We had a wonderful evening here at home and then we got to celebrate again in Palm Springs. You can't have too much Christmas I don't think.

Sandi and Paul came to visit after our trip to Palm Springs and we all had fun relaxing, reading, looking at Christmas lights, and visiting the San Diego temple. Mikaya and Avery loved having their grandma and grandpa here.

We went swimming Christmas day. It was a little cold, but definitely worth it. The hot tub was great. The little girls had a blast!

Avery got a new tricycle from Santa and she loved cruising around with the help of her dad and Grandma Sandi.

Christmas morning Avery woke up and the very first thing that she said was, "Wake up! Santa came!" Don't you love her hair. I don't think I could get it to look like that if I tried.

We had a wonderful Christmas in Palm Springs this year. Thank you Spencer and Rachel for the use of your time-share! This picture was taken on Christmas eve and it looks as though Avery is happy and dreaming of sugar plums! (Whatever those are)
