Avery's Harry Potter Birthday Party

We just had Avery's Harry Potter Birthday Party. It was so hard to plan with a little one in the house. No time! It was really fun to plan though, and it was so fun. We had a Quidditch game, butterbeer (like rootbeer), mandrakes (the plants that scream when you pull them out) for cupcakes, huge spiders on the wall, a wand for each kid, spells they had to perform, and flying keys in the hallway. Curtis helped out a lot during the party.....with flying back as his wand fell out of his hands, as the kids said the spell, "Expelliarmus!" Also, he helped with the Quidditch game and making the butterbeer. Coral watched Miles a lot and of course was very helpful! Happy Birthday Avery! We love you!

4th of July

Avery gets Stitches

We went with one of my friends and her kids to a different beach, than one we are used to going to. We had been enjoying the beach for a couple of hours, when Avery went in, this time without her board. A big wave flipped her and she bumped her chin on a rock at the bottom. I was amazed that she didn't cry, even while she was getting her stitches put in. 4 hours, and 6 stitches later, we were back home. It was an expensive beach trip, and a bit too much on the exciting side for me.
