Playing in the snow in Julian, California
After we got our homeschool work done for the day, we gathered up all the snow gear we could find, grabbed our boogie boards, and headed to Julian, California (about an hour away) to play in the snow. Avery was with some friends for the day, after her basketball game, so she wasn't able to join us. I wrapped the boys' shoes in zip lock bags (with pipe cleaners to hold them on) to keep their feet dry. We brought some hot chocolate in a thermos (from Grandpa Rands) to keep our hot chocolate warm while we played.

Mikaya at 6th Grade Astro Camp at Idyllwild, California
Mikaya has been putting a lot of effort into the musical production of Aladdin at her school, but the director let them take 3 days to attend 6th grade camp at Idyllwild, California. They built water bottle rockets, completed challenge courses, and made friendships. It was forecasted to snow, so they also enjoyed being in snow, which they rarely get to see.
