I was complimenting Mikaya on her school work and said, "That's extraordinary, Mikaya!" She asked, "What does extraordinary mean?" I said that it meant amazing. She said plainly, "Then you can just say amazing." She's so practical.......

Mikaya's Field Trip

Curis was so nice to watch Miles, while I went with Mikaya to a science museum for her field trip. It was so fun to watch Mikaya raise her hand, like Hermione from Harry Potter, and answer questions in the weather class. Her favorite exhibit was an air movement one. They were able to experiment with paper and whether it moved up the air shaft faster if it was crumpled, if it was flat, or if it had items attached to it.

Family Halloween Movie Dress-up Night

We pulled out all the Halloween dress-ups and watch "Nightmare before Christmas". Mikaya took a picture of the table topper that Grandma Montelius made.

Decorating for a Baby Shower

I threw a baby shower for one of my friends. I saved time on decorations, by using a beautiful bouquet of flowers that my friend Sooyoung made for Avery's baptism, and adding a few colors to match the rest of the decorations.
