VALENTINE'S DAY AND MIKAYA'S PRESCHOOL FIELD TRIP

Filling out Valentine's cards for school and preschool.

Making Valentine jigglers. (see polkadotcanar.blogspot.com for recipe under "Love of all Things Red")

I was able to go with Mikaya on her preschool field trip to the police station, to meet a woman police officer, and to see what the station, and the inside of a police car looks like. We went to the park for a picnic afterwards.

AVERY AND MIKAYA BEING CREATIVE

Avery earning money picking up leaves.

We are having fun redoing our stairs. I tore up the carpet because it was old, but I made a mess for Curtis and I to fix. The stairs had to be almost totally redone, but it has turned out to be a hard, but really fun project.

CHRISTMAS DAY

We had so much fun while Sandi, Paul, and Drew were here for Christmas. We loved going to Sea World, eating delicious food, making cookies, singing/playing Christmas carols, swimming, and playing lots of games. Here is Coral reading a book that Grandma Sandi gave to Avery and Mikaya; complete with hands on items to go with the book, like fans and parfait cups.

I realized that with so many wonderful grandmas and grandpas, that really, we didn't need to buy the girls anything for Christmas! Here are the princesses Avery and Mikaya got from Grandma Montelius and headbands from G & G Minton.

Sandi reading the "Memories Book" that we (Spencer/Rachel & Family, Mark/Holly & Family, and Drew) all put together for her.

Avery getting her hair done, Christmas morning.

Christmas dinner was delicious. We had ham, tasty potatoes, green beans (Drew's favorite), Hawaiian rolls, fruit in cups, and cheesecake.

CHRISTMAS EVE

It seems the most amazing things in life are so wonderfully simple, like good food, music, and spending time with family & friends.

Making gingerbread cookies from Nauvoo.

Mikaya making sure they are tasty.

Drew hard at work helping us finish up some projects. Thank you Drew!

The most delicious cookies made by Sandi, Avery, and Mikaya, using some apricot jam from my mom and dad, for the middle. I'm still craving them!

Grandpa Paul hard at work trying to be the most comfortable person in the house!

SEA WORLD

Drying off and keeping warm in the family size dryer after Avery, Drew, and Curtis were drenched on the roller coaster. It was the best use of five dollars!

Everyone really trying to have a good attitude about being drenched.

We had so much fun at Sea World as you can see. The shows were great and were all very different from each other. What a great Christmas vacation!
