Mikaya hard at work at Preschool

Mikaya and Avery were able to go and see the waves flash electric blue, as they crashed. It was amazing; I'm glad Curtis heard about this amazing phenomenon. Hardly anyone else was there to witness it. I think it was also fun for the girls to be at the beach right before bedtime!



Mikaya and I went to see Avery at the science museum for her field trip, since we had passes. Avery really wanted us to go, so it was fun to be able to go.


Visiting our family friends, the Henry's and the Nelson's. We had so much fun laughing, eating delicious Cafe Rio burritos (thank you again!), and shopping with just us girls. The kids had fun having a sleep-over, going to a soccer game, and swimming. Thank you for being awesome friends!

We roasted marsh mellows, ate hotdogs, watched Toy Story, and the girls had a sleepover on the landing.

Where's Waldo

Where's Waldo- For one of our Young Women's activities, we went to an outdoor mall and seven of us leaders disguised ourselves, as the youth tried to spot us among the crowds. This was two wards combined with the guys and girls. The only rule was we couldn't go into the shops. Some of the groups walked past me quite a few times before spotting me. I was dressed as a teenage soccer player and hardly ever lifted my head from my very important texting. The lady in the red wig and red shirt is the YW president that I work with. She was hilarious and didn't look anything like herself.

Avery on her first day of first grade. She loves her new teacher and I'm really excited that she got such a good one!



Mikaya on her first day of preschool this year. Don't worry the schedule includes more than just dressing up, like here in this picture! There are five of us that will be teaching the five kids, 4 girls and one cute little boy. Mikaya loves it so far and feels very grown-up!

Coral, randomly getting her picture taken, after helping with a Young Women's family photo shoot fund raiser for girl's camp. I thought it captured her sweet fun personality really well.


The Young Women on a temple trip. I guess saying that teaching Avery's primary class with Curtis was so fun, didn't help my chances of being able to stay for long! One Sunday, (and I didn't see it coming this time) I was called to be the 2nd counselor in the Young Women's presidency. I have a soft spot for being in the Young Women's, so I'm not complaining, and I get to be in there with Coral!



So when Avery lost her last tooth, she told Curtis, "I know you were really the tooth fairy and you were the one who gave me the money." So, we had to up the fake facade. Since this letter is supposed to be from the tooth fairy, I had to try and disguise my handwriting, which is surprisingly much harder than it would seem. I guess I pulled it off, because she now believes in the tooth fairy again and just to be sure, Curtis has been practicing his girly handwriting for the next time she loses her tooth:)





Mikaya was pretty proud of the strawberry jam we made together.
